Valencia

Three years ago, we visited Valencia for the very first time and we instantly fell in love with the city. For us, Valencia offers the perfect mix of beach life, culture, atmosphere, nature, and that relaxed Spanish lifestyle. Together with the nearby area of Dénia, this city even played a part in our decision to move to this beautiful region.

What makes Valencia so special is its incredible diversity. The city combines striking modern architecture with a charming historic center full of character. Wandering through Valencia’s old town is a joy in itself, with its narrow streets, lively squares, and beautiful historic buildings. Around every corner, you’ll discover inviting outdoor cafés, boutique shops, and authentic Spanish restaurants.

One of our favorite things to do in Valencia is hopping between the cozy pincho bars around the old town. Here, you can sample all kinds of delicious pinchos while enjoying a refreshing glass of Tinto de Verano. Especially in the evenings, the atmosphere becomes vibrant, with both locals and visitors coming together to enjoy the Spanish way of life.

Historic Center

Beyond the historic center, Valencia has plenty of unique attractions to explore. The futuristic Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is without a doubt one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. This spectacular complex is home to several impressive attractions, including Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe. Another must-visit is Bioparc Valencia, a modern zoo famous for its immersive design, where animals live in habitats that closely resemble their natural environments.

Whether you’re visiting for a city break, a beach escape, or a taste of authentic Spanish culture, Valencia is a destination that truly has it all.
